Sound of Belfast presents
Song n°1: 'Nothing Stays the Same'
‘Lyrically, the song is about adapting to change and how difficult and painful this can be, so it's pretty apt for our current moment! Also, the lyrics have a subtle Belfast reference, an ode to walking through Botanic in the rain and contemplating the weirdness of life.
Song n°2: 'Milk Chews'
‘This song is taken from our debut album ‘Seatbelts for Aeroplanes’. It reminds us of a really happy time in all our lives, when the band was just beginning. Lots of excitement, lots of joy, lots of gigs.’
Song n°3: 'Plastic Flowers'
‘We played this as it represents an evolution in our sound. When writing material for the Cure for Living EP, we were massively inspired by bands like The National, and their ability to create songs that are full of life whilst also having a sense of maturity and composure.
